Week 5 of Marathon Club brought cool running conditions and another fantastic effort from all of our runners. It has been brilliant to see so many children continuing to build their lap totals and move closer to the full marathon distance of 84 laps.
A huge congratulations to everyone who reached the half marathon milestone this week by getting down to 42 laps or fewer remaining. What a fantastic achievement!

Here are this week’s top runners from each group:
- Pre-School: Theo led the way with 10 laps
- Reception: Joey and Matteo were joint leaders with 9 laps each
- Year 1: We are still waiting for our first Marathon Club runners!
- Year 2: Alex was the top runner again with a brilliant 15 laps
- Year 3: Erin Q led the group with an excellent 13 laps
- Year 4: Martha was the top runner with 13 laps
- Year 5: Isla and Leopold were joint leaders with 15 laps each
- Year 6: James R was outstanding with 19 laps, closely followed by Ewan with 18 laps
- Adults: ND Adriel completed the most laps with 11
We also have some runners getting very close to completing their full marathon distance. A special mention goes to:
- Year 2 Alex – only 6 laps to go
- Year 5 Leopold – only 6 laps to go
- Year 6 Ewan – only 6 laps to go
- Year 6 James R – just 5 laps remaining
