HSA (Home School Association)
Dear fellow St Marie’s family,
We hope you’re ready for another year of friendship, fundraising and fun! Our events last year included the Film Night – Christmas Pocket Money Market – Mother’s Day Fair – School Uniform – Class Fundraising Challenge – School Disco – Christmas Trees Calendars Christmas Cards – Grand Prize Raffles – Summer Fair.
With your support we raised over £12,000 in 2021/2022. It’s an amazing amount of money for our small community and really reflects your generosity and commitment to actively supporting school.
This year we’ll continue our fundraising work with events and other activities that focus on staying connected and supporting each other while we face the pressures of falling school budgets and the squeeze on family finances.
Our Challenge for 2022/2023
Our committee is made up of working parents. We organise the events in our spare time and run committee meetings by zoom. We do sometimes get to the pub for a meeting if we’re lucky! We love putting on the events as much as the children enjoy taking part in them. The impact of Covid and changes to how we all attend school, particularly at pick-up and drop-off has taken its toll. Whilst we have loads of great ideas for fundraising and fun activities for the year ahead we don’t have enough committee members to organise them all.
What can you do?
You can make a real difference!
This year we need two class reps from every class to join the committee.
While we need people of all sorts, you might be people person great at sourcing raffle prizes, a planner and list maker, you could be great at finding bargain wares for the pocket money markets – or maybe you like spreadsheets and numbers and want to help with accounts. All parents and carers’ are welcome to join. (Dads we do mean you too!)

If you can’t commit to joining can also join the HSA Friends WhatsApp group to offer to help out at an event or give a little of your time.
