Thursday was the final full day of activities at Thornbridge, and the weather certainly made it a memorable one. Despite the rain and windy conditions, the children showed fantastic resilience and perseverance throughout the day. We have been very proud of the way they have approached every challenge this week.
In the morning, Group 2 headed to the Ashford Black Marble Mine for a caving adventure. Equipped with helmets and head torches, the children explored the underground tunnels, squeezed through tight spaces and experienced complete darkness deep inside the mine. It was a brilliant experience that encouraged teamwork, confidence and a sense of adventure.
After lunch, the group travelled to Millers Dale for their abseiling session. The weather was far from ideal, with rain adding an extra challenge, but the children showed great courage as they stepped over the edge and made their way down the bridge. Everyone supported one another and should be very proud of their achievements.
It was another fantastic day of adventure, challenge and teamwork, with the children continuing to impress us with their determination and positive attitude. Well done, Group 2!
