Group 1 – Abseiling & Caving

Thursday was the final full day of activities at Thornbridge, and the weather made things even more challenging. Despite the wind and rain, the children showed great resilience and perseverance. We have been very proud of the way they have tackled every challenge this week.

In the morning, Group 1 travelled to Millers Dale for abseiling. The children showed lots of courage as they stepped over the edge of the bridge and made their way down. The weather was not on our side, but everyone gave it their best effort and should be proud of what they achieved.

After lunch, the group headed to the shelter of the Ashford Black Marble Mine for a caving adventure. Wearing helmets and head torches, the children explored underground tunnels, squeezed through tight spaces and experienced complete darkness deep inside the mine.

It was another great day of adventure, teamwork and challenge, with the children continuing to show confidence, determination and a positive attitude. Well done, Group 1
