On Tuesday, Year 1 enjoyed a wonderful trip to The Botanical Gardens. The sun was shining, and everyone was excited to explore the gardens and learn more about plants and nature.
During our visit, we saw a wide variety of plants and flowers from different parts of the world. The children used their science knowledge to identify parts of plants such as leaves, stems, and roots, and talked about what plants need to grow. We also observed many different types of trees and discussed how they change throughout the seasons.
At lunchtime, we had a picnic on the grass in the beautiful Botanical Gardens. Afterwards, the children had time to play outdoors – including an exciting game of Duck Duck Goose!
All of the children represented our school amazingly. We were incredibly proud of their behaviour and enthusiasm. Well done Year 1!
