Mini Vinnies spreading cheer to our neighbours

This morning the Year 3’s (in their Mini Vinnies role) visited Bridgedale Care Home. As Mini Vinnies we are always on the look out as to how we can turn our ‘concern into action’.  We wanted to share some good cheer around our neighbourhood. We went to see the residents of Bridgedale Care Home and we sung them some songs from our Holy Week Assembly. We then finished with the very catchy Spring Chicken song. It was so catchy the children even sung it on the way back to school.  We then were able to hand out the Easter cards that we had made too. As a treat we were invited into the dining room where we had a biscuit and some squash. What a fab way to end our visit. Thank you to Bridgedale for making us feel so welcome.

Y3 put smiles on everyone’s faces today and it was wonderful to see everyone being so enthusiastic in joining in. Well done!!

I wonder what our next Mini Vinnies project will be?
