This morning, we held our much-loved Nativity Light Trail. The school hall was beautifully transformed into an illuminated pathway for the children to explore.
At the start of the trail, we were delighted to welcome Joe from the Bethlehem Care Trust, who showcased an impressive collection of crib sets from around the world. The trail then featured a stunning display of homemade cribs crafted by our children, leading to our outdoor crib scene at the school entrance. Here, each class gathered in prayer and lit the Advent Wreath, marking this special moment of our Advent preparations.
This year, we saw a record number of homemade cribs, created with extraordinary creativity and a wide variety of materials. A huge well done to all the children who participated—you impressed us all with your incredible efforts! Congratulations to the winners from each class:
- Reception: Aravella
- Year 1: Sosuna
- Year 2: Max (and Rosie, Year 5)
- Year 3: Bella
- Year 4: Arietta
- Year 5: Harriet
- Year 6: Aryia
We also awarded special Creative and Eco Prizes to:
- Woody (Year 2)
- Eliza and Anna (Years 3 and 5)
- Olivia (Year 4)
All other participants received prizes from our prize boxes—well done, everyone!
We are thrilled to share that we have already raised an impressive £277 for the Bethlehem Care and Hospice Trust, with some change still to be counted. Thank you to everyone who contributed so generously. If you would still like to make a donation, it’s not too late.
A special thank you to the children for the respect and reverence they showed during the Light Trail, and to everyone who helped make this event so meaningful. Let us continue to unite as a school community, celebrating the true spirit of Christmas and supporting those in need.
