Y1 had a wonderful afternoon of outdoor learning, with Tom from Yorkshire Wildlings leading the adventure. The children were thrilled as they learned the essential skills of fire-making and how to stay safe. Tom explained each step carefully, showing the children how to gather materials, build a safe fire, and use the equipment properly. They listened attentively and were eager to try it themselves. Once the fire was made, it was time for a special treat – delicious s’mores! The children enjoyed roasting marshmallows over the fire, creating the perfect gooey snack. It was a fun and experience, teaching the children important skills while encouraging teamwork and safety.
