Year 4 go back in time to Jorvik!

On Tuesday, amongst the chaos of the snow, the Year 4 children travelled back in time to Jorvik, a Viking settlement. 

 

The children dug up artefacts at DIG and learnt all about the different items used by the Vikings. They even saw an old Viking poo!

 

The children also visited the Jorvik museum and saw an old Viking settlement. It was 6m below our current ground level. The children loved the ride back through time, including the smells.

 

We also looked at the different weapons used by the Vikings when they made their journey from Scandinavia.
