Fr. Paddy came to visit Y3 at the start of the Promises topic. During our RE learning we are learning more about Baptism and the promises that are made. Fr. Paddy baptised our doll “John”. He explained each part of the Baptism including the welcome, the role of the parents and godparents, why water is used and also why a candle, white garment and special oils are important. It was a wonderful visit where the children were really engaged and able to ask lots of questions. Fr. Paddy also enjoyed looking at some of our Baptism photos too.
