Today, despite the threat of rain, the Year 6 children set off with smiling faces for their traditional gentle amble to Monsal Head on their last day at Thornbridge. Along the way, they treated themselves to a refreshing ice lolly. Afterwards, they returned to base camp with tired legs, exhausted but satisfied, ready to head home and sleep!
Year 6 have had a fantastic week at Thornbridge Outdoors, making many marvelous memories to take with them. They have done all sorts of activities, from canoeing, abseiling, and cycling to weaselling and aiming high on a variety of ropes challenges. Throughout these adventures, they have worked on their 4 R’s—resilience, resourcefulness, reciprocity, and reflection—as well as being respectful, safe, and ready.
They have been absolute superstars. Well done, Year 6!
