June

The start of June saw many of our Y3 children make their First Holy Communion in our Parish Churches. It was a wonderful celebration for the children celebrated with their families, friends and staff from our school.

It was Sofia the Sloth’s turn to be the Catholic Social Teaching Principle spotlight. Children across the school learned how Sofia the Sloth has the Principle of Stewardship and how this means we need to take care of God’s World and all of his creations.

Reception went on a visit to St. Vincent’s Church. They joined parishioners for Mass in the morning and then carouselled around different activities. They had the chance to help with the garden outside and to be with Fr. Lee who showed them some key parts of Mass and the Church. The children were able to dress up and practice parts of the Mass. It was a great day!

CELEBRATING TOGETHER IN FAITH

On Thursday 25th June, we were delighted to welcome all our First Holy Communion children to celebrate Mass with us. While the children had already made their First Holy Communion in their own parishes, this was a special occasion as it was the first time they received the Eucharist together as a school community.

Thank you to all the children and their families who joined us. It was a wonderful celebration as we gave thanks for the children who made their First Holy Communion this year.

A special thank you to Fr. Craig, who celebrated Mass with us. We are very grateful to him for leading us in such a joyful celebration. We look forward to seeing him again as part of our school and parish family.
