On the last day of the trip, Year 5 were joined by staff and families for a sunny walk from Eyam to Stoney Middleton and back.
The group stopped at the Riley Graves, where they heard the sad story of Mrs Hancock, who buried six family members during the Plague.
Afterwards, they climbed up to the boundary stone, where villagers once left money for food to stop the Plague spreading. The walk continued through the village and up through the woods, with lovely views all around.
Everyone returned to the hostel feeling proud (and tired!). A big thank you to the families who came along and made the day so special. Well done, Year 5!
