Reception and Year 1 had an incredibly fun and exciting day when Little City came to school. The children couldn’t wait to get started and threw themselves into the experience with huge smiles and lots of enthusiasm.
They loved stepping into different roles and using their imaginations to bring the mini city to life. The post office was buzzing as children eagerly wrote letters and sorted parcels, while the doctors’ surgery was full of caring doctors and patients checking heartbeats and helping everyone feel better.Â
The shop and hairdressers were full of laughter and chatter as children served customers, counted money, styled hair and enjoyed pretending to be grown-ups. One of the highlights was the fire station, where children excitedly dressed up as firefighters, responded to emergencies and worked together to help others.
It was a fantastic, hands-on experience and the children had so much fun learning through play, building confidence, talking to their friends and enjoying becoming the people who help us in our community.
