A Morning of Music and Song at The Crucible!

On Wednesday morning, our Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 children had a wonderful trip to the Crucible Theatre to see The Storm Whale, performed by Music in the Round. Based on the much-loved book by Benji Davies, the story was brought to life with live music from Ensemble 360, beautiful projected illustrations, and lively narration from Lucy.

The children were taken on a magical journey as they followed the story of a young boy who discovers a whale washed up on the beach. With themes of friendship, family and adventure, the performance was both heartwarming and full of imagination. There were also fun opportunities for the children to join in with actions and songs, making it an interactive and memorable experience for everyone.

It was a fantastic way to introduce our younger pupils to live music and theatre and they represented St Marie’s beautifully throughout. A big thank you to our parent volunteers who helped make the visit such a success!
