On Monday, we were lucky to enjoy beautiful sunshine for our trip to The Butterfly House. The children had a brilliant time learning about animals from across the globe. We spotted meerkats, caimans, a wide variety of birds, giant tortoises, and of course, the stunning butterflies.
After lunch, we enjoyed a fascinating talk from one of the animal keepers, who shared interesting facts about the creatures we’d seen. We even got to meet a cockroach and a millipede – and some brave volunteers had the chance to hold them!
As always, the children were fantastic ambassadors for our school. A huge well done to Year 1 for making the day such a success. What a wonderful way to end the school year!
