We are pleased to share that St Marie’s is now working in partnership with the Sheffield Parent Carer Forum to improve the school experience for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). This exciting new initiative is part of the PINS project – Partnerships for Inclusion of Neurodiversity in Schools.
Whether your child has a formal diagnosis or not, if they have any additional needs, we warmly invite you to attend our first parent and carer meeting:
Monday 7th July at 2:00pm
This is the first of what will become monthly meetings starting in September. These sessions are designed to strengthen communication between parents and the school, and feedback gathered will help guide ongoing improvements to SEND provision.
At the meeting, you’ll be able to:
- Learn more about the PINS project
- Share your child’s school experiences
- Meet the school SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator)
- Hear about SEND support and services
- Discuss school-related topics such as behaviour and sensory needs
- Find support and connect with other parents
- Ask questions and raise any concerns
Drinks and snacks will be available!
