Magna-ificent Y3’s

On Thursday, Year 3 pupils enjoyed an exciting science-packed day at Magna Science Adventure Centre in Rotherham. The children explored the wonders of science through interactive exhibitions and hands-on activities.

Many said their favourite part was the Water Zone, where they learned about water power and had fun with the splashy experiments. We were blown away in the Air Zone where we got to see how we can use air in different ways including a wind tunnel! Others were amazed by the dramatic Fire Tornado in the Fire Zone, and some especially enjoyed the Earth Zone, with its giant diggers and rock-moving machines.

When asked to pick the best bit, most said they couldn’t choose — they loved the whole day! Although it was too wet to visit the aqua park, the children had extra time in the outdoor playground, which added even more fun to their day.

Magna’s four Zones — Air, Earth, Fire and Water — made science come alive in a big, exciting way. Everyone returned full of new science facts to share.

The Y3 children were brilliant ambassadors for our school! A huge thank you to the Magna team and all the staff who helped make the trip so memorable!
