Whilst some Year 3 and Year 5 children were having a fabulous rehearsal day for their upcoming Theatre Club show, the others had an exciting time in the woods. They learnt how to tie two types of knots; Timber Hitch (good for towing logs) and Clove Hitch (adjustable and good for securing). The children practised using these knots to tie and transport bundles of sticks which could then be used for den building.
Other activities were then introduced, after lunchtime, and the children were able to choose from a selection.
The children worked together and demonstrated great resilience and team work. It was lovely to see them working so cooperatively and demonstrating their resilience when things didn’t go as they had planned.
