Charlie came to visit Year 1 as part of their science learning. The children have been learning all about animals and how they are grouped. Charlie the dog is a mammal and we were exploring more about how to look after and care for dogs. We also learned what he eats, how he keeps clean, why he has a name tag and microchip and how old he is (7).
Children also had a go at making some origami dogs and found out more about dogs using a non fiction book.
All of Year 1 were excellent at looking after Charlie and making sure he did not feel scared. Charlie loved all the children stroking him, feeding him and playing with him.
