Last week Year 1 started to look at the work of artist Yayoi Kusama. We had learned about Henri Rousseau and Pointillism and then we have moved on to a more modern artist Yayoi Kusama and her love of dots in her work. We had a go at making some ‘dotty’ art. We also looked at an exhibition where Yayoi Kusama invited people to stick dots around a blank room. We couldn’t do this in class but we put paper across a whole table and used some stickers to have a go at making some art like we had seen. Watch out for more dot/point related art from Year 1 soon…
