Year 1 have been having a look at what happens to pepper when soap touches it. We first put water in a bowl and some pepper on top. The children dipped the tip of their finger in soap and put it in the water. The pepper moved away to the edge of the bowl. We talked about this being a bit like germs being washed off our hands and how important it is to wash our hands.
