Year 2 visited the Millennium Gallery on Wednesday morning. The children had a wonderful time exploring the gallery with Karen the sculpture leader. Karen explained the different sculptures on exhibition and encouraged us to notice pattern, shapes and lines around the gallery. The children drew inspiration from the gallery and sketched things of interest to them. After exploring we were taken to the workshop where we learned about using clay to create our own ‘relief sculptures’. The children were so creative and they can’t wait to share their masterpieces with you!
We were so proud of the way the children represented our school, well done Year 2!
