Year 2 had a fabulous time at the Butterfly House today. We saw lots of different animals including owls, parrots, giant tortoise, lemurs and of course many beautiful butterflies. We had a workshop in the Bird House where we were able to touch and hold a skink, hissing cockroach and a stick insect. The children also enjoyed a play in the park just before the rain came!
Thank you so much to the HSA for subsidising this trip, without which it would not have been possible. It was the perfect way to end the school year and to bring our learning in Science and Geography to life.
We were so proud of the way the children represented our school, well done Year 2!
