On Tuesday, Year 2 enjoyed a wonderful trip to the Botanical Gardens in the beautiful sunshine. First, we met Laura at the Educational Centre and she explained that we would taking a tour of the gardens and locating plants and flowers from all of over the world. Armed with our maps, we set off on our adventure!
The tour of the gardens did not disappoint. We were treated to a vast collection of plants and flowers from all around the world including South Africa, Brazil, China, Mongolia and some from Australia! Laura told us many fascinating facts as we explored the garden, and we had fun locating each of the countries on our map.
We enjoyed a lovely picnic lunch together in the gardens before setting off back to school. What a fantastic place to enjoy, just on our doorstep!
