Year 2 tried an ‘ice fishing’ experiment on Tuesday. The children added salt to the ice, the salt caused the ice to change temperature giving the fishing rod (string) just enough time to freeze to the ice cube. The children had lots of fun predicting how many seconds it would take for the process to take place and trying to ‘catch’ their ice cube!
