Last week we had a DT lesson where we made Easter cakes!
We worked together in groups to make our cake batter carefully following the recipe and helping eachother count ingredents into the bowl. We learned lots of fun baking science facts like why we sieve the flour, and why is air important when baking? and why we add eggs to cakes!
The next day we decorated our cakes with an Easter theme using fondant icing and melted chocolate! We also made bags and Easter labels for our cakes to take home and share with others.
