Science Live Lesson – How are tractors connected to space?

This week Year 1 joined in an NFU live Science lesson as part of the National Science Week.

We thought about the questions: How are tractors connected to space? Why are tractor wheels so big? Why is the tractor the most important machine on a farm?

We met Farmer Eveey to learn about the different parts of a tractor, the materials they are made from and why each material has been chosen for each job. We then discovered how Eveey’s clever tractors drive themselves and all the other important jobs they do.

We linked all of this learning back to our science topic of materials.

We are even more excited now for St. Marie’s Science Week in the Summer term.
