This afternoon Y1 held a Christingle Liturgy. They made their Christingles in the morning and learned about the symbols used in a Christingle. The Orange represents the World, the candle the light of Jesus, the four sweets the seasons of the year and thinking about people who don’t have enough to eat and the red ribbon symbolising the blood of Jesus when he died on the Cross. Parents/carers and family members were able to join us which made it even better. Well done to the children for a beautiful liturgy, with lovely singing and thoughtfulness. Many thanks to the grown ups who were able to join us too.
