Year Two began this afternoon by listening to two different pieces of classical music: Tchaikovsky, ‘Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy’ and Gustav Holst, ‘The Planets, Op 32’.
They let their pen dance and move to the music – great pen dancing! We then discussed how the music made us feel and if there were any differences in the two pieces.
The children were tasked with four different activities;
To use pastels to create a picture of our class plants.
To use playdough to form a 3D model of Toby, our class mascot.
To use pencils to sketch pictures of leaves, focusing on shading.
To use a drawing App on the iPad to crate pictures of shells.
