Superb sketching in Y3

This afternoon Y3 were working on their sketching skills. Today’s lesson was all about being -S-L-O-W- so that we could see the details. We started off first by holding our objects. We then thought about the shapes and types of lines we could see and feel. We then closed our eyes and drew our object in the air. After this we used scrap paper to draw our object with our eyes shut. Finally we sketched our objects on to paper.

“It’s so much better” was what most children thought. The children then practiced this technique with other objects.

Well done Y3 for your carefully looking and drawing.

Have a look at the photographs to see our work too.
