Today Y3 learned about a Christian Ephiphany tradition called Chalking the door. Fr. Lee blessed the chalk we used this afternoon after our Epiphany Mass this morning.
This is where we remember the Wise Men Caspar, Melchior and Balthazar and we write the year either side “20 + C+M+B+26” We also say the blessing which in latin is ‘Christus Mansionem Benedicat’ which means Christ bless this house.
Fr. Lee blessed the chalk we used this afternoon after our Epiphany Mass this morning and Y3 decided we should mark our classroom door and outside the school entrance. We decided to say “Christ bless this school” and “God is welcome here”.
