This week, Year 6 finally completed their Marathon in a Day (yes, it did take a day!) challenge – after having to postpone it last week due to bad weather. But it was well worth the wait!
Even with more rain forecast, the children were determined to take on the challenge come rain or shine. They showed amazing resilience, completing the full distance with big smiles and dressed in all sorts of fun costumes.
We saw celebrity Traitors, Minions and bananas, other weird and wonderful costumes, and even the Super Mario Brothers running around the school grounds – it was a brilliant and joyful sight for everyone!
Well done, Year 6 – you were absolutely magnificent!
And what a result – you’ve raised an incredible £470 for the school! A huge thank you to everyone who sponsored and supported the children.
