Year 1 had a magical and memorable visit to the Steel Cauldron, where they were treated to a special encounter with some magnificent owls.
The children listened with wide-eyed interest as Professor Alba shared fascinating facts about the owls’ habits, habitats and personalities.
Excitement filled the air as the owls took flight, swooping gracefully overhead in search of food. The children watched as the birds glided and hovered, showing off their incredible agility and silent wings.
Throughout the visit, the children were incredibly respectful and showed an understanding of how we care for God’s gifts. Their thoughtful behaviour reflected the principles of Catholic Social Teaching, especially stewardship – recognising our responsibility to protect and cherish all of creation.
Well done Year 1!
