Despite the chilly weather, Year 5 pupils enjoyed a full day of learning today as they continued their exploration of the village of Eyam. The visit offered a deeper insight into Eyam’s remarkable history, especially its role during the time of the Plague.
The day began with a visit to the village church and graveyard, where the children learned about key events and the courageous decisions made by the local community in the 17th century.
Afterwards, they explored the Eyam Museum, where a range of artefacts and stories helped bring the village’s past to life.
After that, they had lunch and enjoyed some playtime in the park.
