Today, our Year 6 children made their annual pilgrimage to Padley Chapel in the Hope Valley, a place that has long been a “valley of hope” for those seeking to live their faith.
This special day was part of our journey in this Jubilee Year, which Pope Francis declared as a time for us all to be pilgrims of hope. It reminded us that we are all walking together in faith.
The Mass was well attended by 13 other schools from across our Diocese of Hallam. It was concelebrated by Bishop Ralph and Monsignor Des Sexton, who shared the Good News with everyone: God loves us!
Let us all continue to be open to the Holy Spirit’s ‘touches of grace’ as we follow the Way, remembering the faith and courage of those who have walked before us.
