KS1 Writing Challenge

On Thursday KS1 had a fabulous day celebrating International Outdoor Classroom Day. KS2 weren’t here... tell them about the day and what you enjoyed the most. Remember to use great spelling and best handwriting. Amazon vouchers can be won and chocolate for every entry!

International Outdoor Classroom Day!

Well done to all of the children in KS1 who took part in Outdoor Classroom Day yesterday. The sun shone on us all day, and the children had a great time participating in a range of activities all based on ‘The Gruffalo’. They spent the whole day outdoors making gruffalo habitats with the Playpod resources, gruffalo feasts in the woods, map-making, doing outdoor drama in the woods, and even exploring mindfulness in the reflection garden.

Sports Day Superstars!

Today was KS2's Sports Day at the EISS. Throughout the day we saw enormous jumps at the Long jump and High jump and wonderfully long throws at the Javelin. Whilst on the track we had children competing in sprinting, hurdles, relays, skipping, egg and spoon and the ultimate obstacle course. All the children showed terrific teamwork, marvellous motivation and excellent effot throughout the whole day. Of course children were awarded points for all of their efforts which resulted in our 2017 Sports Day Winners - Thornbridge. They have retained their title for another year. Well done!!

A big thank you to all the staff, parents, family and friends who were able to support the day.
