On Wednesday, the roof was blown of St Marie's School hall - twice!
Thanks to our musicians in Y1, Y2, Y3, Y4, Y5 and Y6, we enjoyed not one, but two FANTASTIC music concerts to celebrate the success and progress in curriculum music. The first concert in the morning featured performances from Y4, Y6 and Y1 with highlights being Y1's rendition of 'Your Imagination', Y4's beautiful version of 'Blackbird' that almost made Mrs Lever cry and Y6's incredible singing of 'Livin' on a prayer' in a real-life battle of the bands with Y5!
The afternoon concert was as equally impressive with songs by Y2, Y5 and Y3 including 'Friendship Song' sung so sweetly by Y3, a very cool rendition of 'Fresh Prince of Bel-Air' by Y5 and disco moves from Y3 with 'Bringing us together' and a reminder in the words that "music makes us feel good".
We are so proud of our musical traditions at St Marie's and the happiness that music brings to us all in different ways. If you would like your child to learn an instrument, contact Sheffield Music Hub for further details https://www.sheffieldmusichub.org/
