The children in Year 3 have been learning about volcanoes in their geography lessons. On Monday, they made paper volcanoes, and today these models became working volcanoes. The children made a potion of washing up liquid, bicarbonate of soda, water, food colouring and vinegar, and then they poured it into the centre of their volcano. There was great excitement as the volcanoes began to erupt! We also tried using a packet of Mentos put into a bottle of coke to make the biggest volcano erupt. What fun we had!
