Woodland Walk Takes Shape

Our woodland path is now nearly finished thanks to the help of some super volunteers who helped shovel, wheelbarrow and rake building materials into place for Tom our project manager from Ecclesall Woods to finish off. After clearing and digging out the path on Tuesday, today was spent filling and compressing the serpent shaped path down into the woods. We are all looking forward to see our children using the woods next term.  A big thank you to all our helpers and also the volunteers from Ecclesall Woods - we couldn't have done it without you!

Thornbridge Triumph

St Marie's KS2 sports day was once again a huge success with Thornbridge crowned 2016 champions for the first time.

The English Institute of Sport Sheffield (EISS) proved to be an inspirational setting for all the children and we saw some amazing track and field performances.

The final scores were:

Thornbridge 3594, Padley 3467, Eyam 3407 and Mayfield 3360.

Well done to everybody who competed and contributed to their team's points.

A big thanks also to the all the parents and the All Saint's volunteers who helped on the day.

Check out the photos below (more to come!).

St Marie's Athletics

Children from St Marie's competed in the Sheffield Federation for School Sports' Athletics heat today at Woodbourn Road Stadium. The children were resilient in their races and field events and we had numerous children who have qualified for the Finals day on June 23rd. Well done to all our amazing athletes. We are very proud of you all!

Painting an Elephant!

Children from every class across school having been busy using paint brushes and thumb prints to help create our Water Ways Elephant this week. Ahead of the citywide arts exhibition, 'The Herd of Sheffield', the children have been lucky enough to work with painter Nick Grindrod to create our unique elephant. Thank you so much to Nick for generously giving his time to help the children with their art work.
