Today, Andrew Noble (Arches SSP) and Craig Malkin (Links SSP) will be undertaking the mammoth challenge of cycling to all 171 Sheffield Infant, Junior, Primary & Secondary schools in one day, taking around 16 hours! The challenge will start and finish at Forge Valley School and their total journey will be 169 miles!
The Move More Sheffield Schools Cycling Tour is to raise money for a number of fantastic Sheffield based charities including: Bluebell Wood Hospice, Sheffield Children's Hospital, Weston Park Cancer Charity and Sheffield & Rotherham Wildlife Trust (chosen by Sheffield schools). Thanks to all schools who put forward their chosen charities.
Some of the donations will also be used to grow junior cycling opportunities in Sheffield for Children and Young People where possible. We would like schools to encourage all families and children to support the day by creating banners around school (could be a great key worker activity to do in the next couple of weeks) or outside houses that the riders can see on the day as well as encouraging the whole city to get on their bike where they can as it is the last day of Move More Month and also UK Bike Month with Love to Ride.
If you could give anything from £1 upwards to support Andy and Craig then it would be much appreciated!
