Kids Cup Football

Congratulations to our footballers, who took part in the U11 Kids Cup at Sheffield United’s Academy on Wednesday. They did extremely well, eventually progressing to the semi-finals before getting knocked out by a very good Greenhill Primary school team. Well done everyone!

Key Steps Gymnastics

On Monday 29th February, 29 gymnasts from Y3, Y5 and Y6 went to the Key Steps primary gymnastics competition at Notre Dame High School. Everybody competed on both floor and vault, performing difficult but well executed routines. The Y3 teams competed in a division of 12 teams, with the B team finishing in 9th place and the A team finishing in 4th place. The Y5/6 performed incredibly well in a division of 15 teams. The A team came 5th and the B team came 10th.

Well done to everyone for performing such fantastic routines and for your impeccable behaviour at this exciting event!  Photos of the Y3/4 team below in the gallery.

Gifted & Talented Sports Event

Today, children from schools all over Sheffield had the chance to compete in an athletics event at the EIS. St Marie's teamed up with other children from; St Wilfrids, St Theresas, St Patricks and Sharrow. They all thoroughly enjoyed it and came overall second! Well done!

Gold for St. Marie's!

For the year 2014-15 we have been awarded the Sainsbury's School Games GOLD mark. This achievement recognises the fabulous sporting opportunities and experiences that our children have. It also recognises that our children are actively involved in many different sporting activities throughout the whole year.  Many thanks to all the children, staff and parents who have helped by participating, giving lifts or being enthusiastic supporters!!

Mr Fernandes asks "Is there a platinum award for next year?"

Y5 had a wonderful time at the all saints tag rugby tournament. Getting stuck in, getting grass in your shoes and most importantly having fun!

Nifty Netballing!

On Friday afternoon the Y6 girls netball team participated in the Hallam Netball Competition held at Mlynhurst School. The girls showed off their amazing teamwork and netballing ability.  The girls won 2 matches and lost 3 to come 4th place in the competition! We even got to have a team photo with Bishop Ralph who was there to watch and present the awards at the end. Special mention to Olivia who nominated as 'most improved player' although Miss Healy said this was the toughest decision she had had to make all week!

Well done girls on a fab performance!
