Testing Reaction Times in Code Club!

This afternoon in Code Club, the children programmed their BBC Microbits to create a multi-player game to test their reaction times. Even Mr Fernandes had a go and proved that he had faster reaction times than Tino!

St Marie's Girls Football

St Marie's girls football team played 3 games tonight in the Englsih Schools' Cup at Bradway Primay school.

The girls lost 1-0 to Mundella (the eventual winners) and drew against Dobcroft and Bradway.

The girls were fantastic role models and showed great team work and resilience. We were really proud of our superstars!

St Marie's High 5!

St Marie's Year 6 Netball Club were at All Saints 'Goals' Sports Centre yesterday to compete in a 'High 5' competition.  The official results weren't announced due a late finish, but we think we came 5th out of 14 schools.  This is a fantastic achievement for a new club, and considering it's the first time ever that we have played the 'High 5' version of netball!  A huge well done to Agnes, Isabelle, William, Ashaune, Wojtek, Katie, Olivia, Alexander, Sally and Isabel for a tremendous team effort.  We're now looking forward to playing friendly matches (at home) against St Patrick's next Wednesday!

Netball Team's First Outing

The netball team had their first outing this week and were all superstars! We travelled to Nook Lane Junior School and played 4 games in total. We were very evenly matched as both schools over the 4 games scored 12 nets altogether! Well done everyone - We hope you have all warmed up again!

Key Steps

On the Wednesday 4th February the St Marie’s gymnastics team went to Notre Dame to compete in the Key Steps gymnastics competition. We had three teams from St Marie’s, two Y6 teams and two Y5/Y4 team. Each team had to perform a floor routine and also had to do the vault; we enjoyed ourselves and had a great time! Thank you Mrs Ruddleston.

Cross Country Champs!

On Tuesday this week Mr Delamere rewarded our very talented cross country runners in a special assembly at school.

They had all been excellent roles models and represented our school with energy and pride at numerous events and races throughout the year.

All the children were winners and we know it will continue next year.

Well done to all and keep on running!
