Year 5 Homework Friday 17th January

The children should have brought home their Schofield and Sims English and Maths Skills booklets. We would like the children to complete one page of each and discuss the questions with you at home. These books will support their learning of various SPaG and maths elements taught in school.

This week, the children have been looking at homophones (words that sound the same but have different meaning). We would like the children to revise these through Spelling Frame > Year 5 & 6 > Spelling Rule 51.

Y5 Hotshots!

This afternoon, our Y5 children competed in some basketball games at Goals. The children played brilliantly and demonstrated fantastic sportsmanship and behaviour throughout all games. Overall, the children came 2nd and are through to the finals in a few weeks! Well done team!

Eastern European Day in Y5

Yesterday, Year 5 had an Eastern European themed day. The children tried different Eastern European foods, including Polish snacks. They also painted eggs, rehearsed a Polish dance, made Russian dolls, created special marble patterns and designed some Eastern European clothes.

We all had a fantastic day!

See below for some photographs of our day.

Athletics Final

Yesterday, our children competed in the Athletics Finals at Goals. They were all fantastic and we came 6th overall.
